Currently working on her home renovation, we took a moment to catch up with the beautiful Jessica Harris @jessicasharris_ about everything jewellery and home related.

WHERE IS YOUR CURRENT HOME? 
In the Suffolk countryside.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE? 
Nature, wide open spaces, fresh air and my family.

WHAT DOES YOUR ‘AT HOME STYLE’ LOOK LIKE MOST DAYS? 
I’m a massive comfort person so pay a lot of attention to the cut and fabric of my clothes. I’m all about keeping it simple and chic so you’ll find me in cashmere trousers, leggings or cigarette trousers teamed with a tank, oversized tee or white shirt teamed with loafers, mules or my Umu Australia slippers!

HAS THE ROLE OF YOUR JEWELLERY CHANGED RECENTLY? 
Definitely. I find that I’m favouring small, dainty and, again, comfortable jewellery pieces rather than chunky, statement accessories.

IF YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE YOU’VE MADE AN EFFORT, WHAT ARE YOUR GO-TO PIECES? 
I’ll definitely opt for a hoop earring or a bigger stud. As I have small features, any earrings instantly make me look more put-together.

WHAT’S THE BEST AND HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING AT HOME? 
Not being able to travel. I go away a lot for work (and pleasure) and love to see the world. But it has made me realise that I want to cut back as much as I can because if there is one silver lining from all of this, it’s the positive effect it’s having on the environment.

DO YOU HAVE A DAILY ROUTINE OR HAS ALL ROUTINE GONE OUT THE WINDOW? 
I’ve worked from home for the last 3 years so my daily routine is pretty set. What I have changed though is being a bit more relaxed with it depending on how I’m feeling that day.

IS THERE SOMETHING YOU HAVE WANTED TO DO FOR A LONG TIME, WHICH YOU NOW HAVE TIME TO DO? 
I’m in awe of everyone baking and reading during this time because I haven’t found the time to do that yet but I have been gardening and cracking on with our house renovations.

HOW ARE YOU KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY? 
We’ve been talking, texting and doing video calls daily and weekly.

IF YOU COULD WEAR ONE PIECE OF JEWELLERY FOREVER, WHAT WOULD IT BE? 
My wedding ring for sentimental reasons and diamond earrings my husband bought me.

FOR ANYONE WHO MAY BE FINDING STAYING AT HOME HARD, CAN YOU LEAVE US WITH ONE TIP WHICH HAS HELPED YOU?
I think just be really gentle with yourself and very careful what you’re consuming. Social media can be comforting if we’re feeling lonely but it can also be very detrimental to how we’re feeling and you end up comparing your productivity/house/garden/exercise regime to everyone else. There’s no rule book to this, take every day as it comes and do things that make you feel good - even if that’s doing nothing.
